Jurassic Chocolate African Goat for IWC Big Pilot

Jurassic Chocolate African Goat for IWC Big Pilot – Hi strap lovers, Here are some photos of my friend’s IWC Big Pilot IW5010-01 on a custom watch strap made from Jurassic Chocolate African Goat from our Safari Collection.  I really like these Big Pilot watches on leather straps with some heavy texture and this African Goat leather from our bespoke traditional British tanner Tusting & Burnett (Estb. 1938) Ltd. really fits the bill.  With its deep grain texture and wonderful chocolate color it’s a perfect pairing with IWC BP’s classic Military look.  This strap features flat squared profile IWC style padding at the lugs (as opposed to our typical high domed rounded padding) tapering from 22 to 20mm at the buckle and has super fine hand saddle stitching using fine French Fil Lin Cable Au Chinois linen thread, which is the world’s best.  This strap has been lined with our Special calfskin lining in Olive Drab, which is both in keeping with the military spirit of the watch and also super soft on the wrist.  Altogether, I think this strap is a really great match for the IWC Big Pilot and will be our ‘Watch of the Week’!
