Custom handmade Alligator and Teju Lizard Watch Straps for Panerai PAM526:
Hi strap lovers. One of the things that I like most about my work is my collaboration with clients to design unique and many times one of a kind custom watch straps for the watches that they love. What makes this even more special is to build batches of exotic leather watch straps for the same customer (and often for the same watch), giving my customers the ability to change between straps as the mood strikes them or to suit different occasions. Here a great cases in point and for on very special watch: The Panerai PAM526
Custom watch strap design:
The design process can take time to get all the details just right, combining different outer materials, thread colors, and linings in photos for client approval resulting in strap designs that are in perfect harmony with my client’s vision and with the design of the watch:
My great client Gerald is fortunate to own what is certainly a grail watch for many of us the Panerai PAM526 Also known as the ‘Panerai Luminor 1950 Regatta 3 Days Chrono Flyback Automatic Titanio PAM 526’. This chronograph flyback specially designed for time regatta yacht racing is extremely sporty with Orange and blue center chronograph second hands set on a beautiful black Panera cutout sandwich dial. This watch is massive and while milled from titanian to reduce weight, does benefit from our ‘Fully Integrated Fit’ (FIF) which offers integrated fit between the lugs, a pre-curved strap shape and notching to bring the width of the strap to the outside line of the lugs. the strap is then tapered back to the buckle width of choice. In addition to looking very cool, this upgrade offers a much more secure fit on the wrist, cradling the wrist to achieve the perfect fit.
I have made several straps for Gerald’s PAM526 over the last three years, featuring some of my favorite exotic leathers and with Double Row stitching, interesting and durable exotic leather linings and Exotic wood and Mammoth Ivory buckles made my Ingo of FineWatchBuckles. Absolutely No corners were cut with the design and building of these straps using the very finest materials and most expensive build options to create sets of straps that are entirely unique and second to none.
