Hi Strap lovers! I built this very special bund strap for my very good customer Dale from the US for his recently acquired Vintage Rolex Red Sub, but I couldn’t resist giving it a try and taking a few photo of a current Rolex Sub ref. 114060 to share with you. This strap is made from natural cream colored vegetable tanned leather, which is then hand stained and dyed to our customer’s requested color – in this cast Antique French Oak in a multiple stage process the results in an entirely unique finish. The strap is then hand saddle stitched using our customer’s choice of linen thread.
This strap also features padding at the lugs and our exclusive ‘Thick Curved Lug System’ (TCLS) upgrade giving the strap and integrated fit with the watch case. Together with the bund underlayment, which is also fully lined and hand saddle stitching, this strap is designed to create a unique unified look and when paired with Dale’s vintage Rolex, in intended to give the impression that his Rolex literally grew out of the strap or perhaps vice-versa. These photos give a hint as to the result I’m after.
