Do Slight blemishes of natural leather/skins diminish the quality of the strap? 2019-04-11T14:56:56+02:00

We believe that part of the attraction and beauty of leather is that it shows character and is genuine – texture and grain are part of that. We thoroughly check for blemishes, scars and color deviations, but we can’t promise absolute flawlessness. If you don’t share this belief, please don’t order from us.
Also, please note that exotic leather scale patterns have variations so that no two strap scale patterns will be exactly alike, even if cut from the same hide. These variations are ultimately what makes each of our handmade watch straps precious and unique.

How do I care for my watch strap? 2019-02-22T15:43:13+01:00

The service life of a watch strap depends on individual use. Natural leather products will absorb moisture which in turn needs to air out. Please don’t wear your strap 24 hours a day for lengthy times. Please do not use any wax or conditioner – especially if you purchased supermatte or suede like finish.
Do use a soft cloth to occasionally wipe over and polish your strap. Do not use any wax or conditioner as it might change the appearance of the leather like darken the color, or interfere with the finish. No guarantee is made for color-fastness, light-fastness or waterproofness.

Can I expose my strap to water or go swimming wearing my watch strap? 2019-02-22T15:43:13+01:00

No you can’t. Our straps have a hand buffed finish, but they are not waterproof. Just like a fine pair of leather shoes, the leather will dry out and loose it’s flexibility and luster, if exposed to water. This also pertains to straps made out of a fish, like shark or reptile/alligator as well. Repeated exposure to water, salt, soaps, solvents or any other harsh chemicals will damage the leather and/or the finish.
Do not expose Dangerous9straps for an extended period of time to intense sunlight. Any natural leather or cloth will change it’s color over time, when left in the sun.

Is your leather genuine? Do you comply with CITES? 2019-04-11T15:38:33+02:00

Our materials include American Alligator, Teju Lizard, Ostrich Leg skin, ‘Outback’ Kangaroo, and Safari Leather Collections. All exotic skins were properly imported into the EU with CITES-Certificates. All skins comply with the laws of the Washington Convention to ensure the protection of the native species. If you have further questions, please email us. If you have any questions about permits, please contact us.

What product should I choose if I think that I suffer from contact allergies? 2019-04-11T14:22:11+02:00
