Racing Black Alligator Strap for Tudor Black Bay Chronograph:
Racing Black Alligator Strap for Tudor Black Bay Chronograph – Hi watch lovers! These photos were sent by my good customer showing off his newly arrived Strap for his panda dial Tudor Black Bay Chronograph. Made from our finely finished semi-matte Racing Black Alligator from our Veneto Collection, this very high-quality Alligator was developed by our Italy-based tannery partner specifically for application in watch straps, which means that it meets all the highly demanding durability and performance standards of the Swiss Watch industry.
However, what makes this strap truly unique is that it was made with our ‘Thick Curved Lug System’ to provide a perfectly integrated fit between the lugs. As many Tudor Black Bay owners will attest, these watches (not just the Chronographs) feature a fairly tall watch case and long lugs, which give these watches an elegant proportion even given their size, but as a result a standard straight end strap as look rather awkward. This issue is, as you can see, well-resolved with our Padding at the lugs and ‘Thick Curved Lug System’ (TCLS), wherein the strap transitions from the watch in an elegant nearly seamless fashion and with just the right amount of bulk to for these larger watches.
In order to provide our customer with both extreme comfort on the wrist and extreme durability, this strap was lined with our Kangaroo Gloving leather. These leathers have been specially engineered by the Tannery for use in sports and motorcycling gloved to be extremely durable, able to withstand years of repeated wetting/drying cycles without becoming brittle. Moisture is a major vulnerability for watch straps and probably the most common point of failure. This issue had been decisively addressed with these specially engineered leathers.
