Stingray Skins Current stock:
All our stingray straps are custom made, being entirely handcrafted by me in our workshop located near Munich, Germany. Stingray has a unique surface that is unlike that of any other leather. The surface of Stingray is composed of small, hard calcium deposits that give the leather a rough but glassy touch. Stingray has exceptional surface durability; it is very resistant to scrapes and scratches and retains its appearance with very little care required. Due to the composition of the surface, it is an ideal material for watch straps.
We offer a huge selection of Stingray colors and finishes. Finishes are available in Natural pebble, high shine polished, and matte sanded finish. Your strap can be ordered also be ordered with the central eye (of naturally pebbled stingray), central Pearls (for high shine and sanded matte), We also offer Row Stone Stingray with a high shine or Matte finishes. The Matte finish is exclusive to Dangerous9straps and offers a more subdued, less flashy finish.
Below are Stingray skins in current stock. If you would like to see straps make from these various colors, please visit our ‘Straps made from Stingray’ page. Additionally, I do maintain an Album showing many of my completed custom Stingray straps: Stingray straps for your review.
We offer two finish options for the polished stingray: the standard high shine, as it arrives from the tannery or our custom sanded Matte finish, which offers a more subdued, less flashy finish. Please note, we don’t offer full stitching on Stingray straps, however, I can add accent stitching at the lugs and clasp/buckle.

Hi do you do these for a Daytona and Are they waterproof?
I do make Stingray staps for the Rolex Daytona. And, while the surface is very water/moisture tolerant, and the stingray leather itself has been oil-tanned, I still do not consider them waterproof.
While some of our materials such as Stingray, Shark, SuperMatte Teju Lizard, SuperMatte Ostrich, and SuperMatte Alligator have a surface finish that is extremely moistureproof, I still don’t consider our straps totally waterproof and do not recommend ever swimming, bathing, or regularly submerging our straps. This is because water will be absorbed into the leather mid-layer and over time damage and dry out the leather from the inside, which of course will lead to pre-mature strap failure. For these activities, I recommend wearing the OEM bracelet, rubber strap or Nylon Nato style strap which after it starts to look tatty can be tossed and replaced at a very low cost.
