The Incas Kangaroo Collection – Tradition Meets Artistry
Our Incas Kangaroo collection is available in three refined colors—Incas Mahogany, Incas Tan, and Incas Black. Each hide is vegetable-tanned in Northern Italy, a process that remains faithful to traditional methods. Once tanned, these leathers are hand-rubbed, dyed, and waxed by skilled Italian artisans, producing an extraordinary depth of color, a supple yet resilient hand, and a natural sheen that develops a rich patina over time.
As we’ve shared in our earlier features, kangaroo leather is among the strongest leathers in the world for its weight, thanks to its tight fiber structure. This makes it an ideal choice for luxury bespoke watch straps—lightweight, durable, and undeniably elegant.
Built for an Integrated Fit – Our Thick Curved Lug System (TCLS)
For Ruppert’s custom Tudor Black Bay 58 strap, we incorporated our signature Thick Curved Lug System (TCLS), which provides a perfectly integrated fit between the lugs. This detail not only enhances the aesthetics but ensures the strap hugs the case without gaps—something mass-produced straps often fail to achieve.
Crafted specifically for the OEM Tudor deployant clasp, this strap offers both comfort and security. Padding at the lugs adds structure while preserving the refined proportions of the Black Bay 58, resulting in a perfect balance between sport and sophistication.
Stitching, Lining, and the Art of Detail
Our customer selected Vintage Gold MeiSi linen thread for the hand-saddle stitching, echoing the warm gilt accents of the Tudor dial and bezel. Every stitch is placed by hand for durability and precision—hallmarks of handmade artisan leather watch straps.
On the reverse side, we lined the strap with our Red Nappa kangaroo leather, originally developed for motorcycle racing suits. This lining offers exceptional resistance to sweat, moisture, and wear while remaining supple against the skin. The flash of red is a subtle, personal detail—visible only when the watch is off the wrist.
