While it is most commonly seen on its Oystersteel bracelet, pairing the Sea-Dweller with a handcrafted leather strap creates a strikingly different personality—one that blends rugged capability with refined craftsmanship.

The Legendary Rolex Sea-Dweller 126600
Released to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Sea-Dweller line, the Reference 126600 stands out with several distinctive features: a 43 mm Oystersteel case, a helium escape valve for professional saturation diving, and a depth rating of 1,220 meters (4,000 feet). The watch also introduced the return of the iconic red “Sea-Dweller” text on the dial—an homage to the earliest models from the late 1960s.
Its Cerachrom bezel, Chromalight lume, and robust Calibre 3235 movement make it a modern dive instrument built for reliability in the harshest environments. Yet despite its tool-watch origins, the Sea-Dweller’s balanced design allows it to transition effortlessly into more refined settings—especially when paired with a carefully crafted leather strap.

Our Vintage Mahogany Alligator – From the France Croco Collection
For this pairing, our customer selected a Vintage Mahogany Alligator strap from our France Croco Collection, chosen specifically to complement the Sea-Dweller’s deep black dial and red accents. The rich mahogany tone adds warmth and visual depth while maintaining the bold character expected from a professional dive watch.
The leather used in our France Croco Collection comes from the renowned France Croco tannery, one of the most respected exotic leather specialists in Europe. Known for its exceptional finishing techniques and consistent quality, France Croco produces alligator hides with beautifully defined scale patterns and rich coloration. The tannery’s decades-long expertise results in leathers that are not only visually stunning but also durable and stable—ideal for high-end watch straps that must maintain their shape and finish over many years of wear.
Padding, Fully Integrated Fit, and Signature Taper
This strap features padding at the lugs to visually balance the Sea-Dweller’s substantial 43 mm case. We also incorporated our Fully Integrated Fit (FIF) construction, designed to create a seamless transition between the watch case and the strap.
With FIF construction, the strap width is notched to the full width of the lugs, filling the space perfectly before tapering back into our signature profile – in this case our 20mm inner-fold deployant clasp, for a comfortable and streamlined finish on the wrist. The result is a strap that appears almost integrated with the case while still maintaining the flexibility and comfort of a traditional two-piece strap.
Every strap is hand saddle stitched using Cream White French-milled linen thread, a traditional material prized for its strength, longevity, and subtle vintage aesthetic.
Kangaroo Gloving Leather – Our Signature Lining Since 2015
The strap is lined with ‘Clone’ patterned Kangaroo Gloving leather, one of the most distinctive and high-performance lining materials we offer. Since 2015, Dangerous9straps has proudly incorporated kangaroo gloving leather into many of our custom straps.
Kangaroo leather is widely recognized for its remarkable strength-to-weight ratio, making it both incredibly durable and exceptionally thin. As a lining leather, it provides outstanding comfort against the wrist while maintaining structural integrity over years of wear. Its naturally tight fiber structure allows it to remain supple while resisting stretching and breakdown.
Our kangaroo gloving leathers are also incredibly soft from the first wear, creating a strap that feels broken-in immediately without sacrificing longevity.
