The defining feature of this strap is our exclusive ‘Hulk’ Green Ostrich Leg leather, bespoke tanned for Dangerous9straps by our Italy-based tannery partner. This is not a standard green; it is a rich, deep tone developed specifically to achieve both vibrancy and longevity.

This shade of green is a particularly inspired choice for the GMT-Master II, as it mirrors the distinctive green GMT hand — creating a subtle visual dialogue between strap and dial that feels intentional and refined.

Ostrich leg leather is prized for its natural scale pattern and durability. The texture adds character and depth without distracting from the clean lines of the watch, making it an ideal material for collectors seeking something unique yet tasteful.

Fully Integrated Fit (FIF) with Thick Curved Lug System (TCLS)

A hallmark of Dangerous9straps craftsmanship is our Fully Integrated Fit (FIF), which incorporates our Thick Curved Lug System (TCLS). This engineering approach transforms how the strap meets the watch case.

The strap is padded precisely at the lugs so it fills the space between the spring bar and case seamlessly. TCLS allows the leather to curve and thicken to follow the geometry of the GMT-Master II case, creating an appearance as though the strap was designed by Rolex specifically for this model.

From this full-width integration at the lugs, the strap is expertly notched and tapered back toward Kurt’s chosen clasp. This preserves elegance while maintaining structural integrity and comfort.

Subtle Design Details: Edge Paint and Stitching

The green edge paint adds a slight contrast to the ostrich leather surface, enhancing the strap’s profile and giving it a crisp, finished look when viewed from the side.  Our edge paints are hand blended my me to achieve the best pairing with the strap, this includes the amount of matte to shine as well as color to create a complimentary unified ‘whole of watch’ design.

Equally important is the superfine hand saddle stitching, completed using our white French-milled linen thread. This detail ties beautifully into the GMT-Master II’s white lume markers, dial printing, and, of course, bezel markings, creating cohesion between strap and watch that is often impossible to achieve with off-the-shelf options.

These are the small, deliberate decisions that define true bespoke work.

Lined with Motorcycle Black Kangaroo Leather

On the underside, the strap is lined with our super soft yet extremely durable Motorcycle black Kangaroo leather. Known for its exceptional strength-to-thickness ratio, kangaroo leather offers remarkable comfort while ensuring the strap withstands daily wear with ease.

This lining ensures that the tactile experience matches the visual impact of the strap.

Finished with the D9 Polished Inner-Fold Deployant Clasp

Kurt selected our Dangerous9straps ‘D9’ logo inner-fold deployant clasp with a polished finish, subtly branded with our engraved ‘D9‘ logo. This clasp choice complements the polished surfaces of the GMT-Master II case while preserving the strap’s elegant taper and flow.
