Custom Stingray Straps for Panerai – one of the most enjoyable things for me about making custom watch straps is receiving great photos from happy customers showing off their newly arrived straps on their watches. Case in point: My great customer Ade’s Panerai watches paired with his newly arrived Stingray watch straps.
For Ade’s Panerai PAM1314, he has chosen our unique Grey Row Stone Stingray with a high polished finish. This strap features padding at the lugs and our ‘Thick Curved Lug System’ (TCLS) to provide an integrated fit between the lugs and our SuperExotica upgrade with black sharkskin lining. Due to the boney exterior surface of Stingray, this is one of the most difficult materials to work with to achieve a strap with an excellent finish the edges need to be sanded and polished in a multi-stage process and the holes for this buckle on these Row Stone straps cannot be punched with a standard leather hole punch, which would shatter the central pearls, but mush be individually drilled using a Drill press with a special drill bit. Obviously, this process is painstaking and cannot be rushed, but I think that the results speak for themselves.
Sharkskin makes for a very comfortable and extremely durable lining option. To see our complete collection of sharkskins, please follow this link: Dangerous9straps Sharkskins in stock.
For Ade’s Panerai PAM1662, he has chosen our unique Low Contrast Black with a sanded matte finish. The Low Contrast black is actually more like a charcoal color, which I think combines very well with the grey scale of the PAM1662. This strap features padding at the lugs and our ‘Thick Curved Lug System’ (TCLS) to provide an integrated fit between the lugs and our SuperExotica upgrade with black sharkskin lining. Our TCLS option in stingray is consistently one of the most difficult options to get right, as I am gratified to see in these photos that the fitment couldn’t have been better if I had these watches in hand! This strap was paired with our Matte Black PVD finish ‘D9’ logo Pre-V style buckle to match the milled Carbon Fiber of the PAM1662 bezel.
