Breitling B1 Navitimer 41 on Custom Teju Lizard Strap – One of our favorite recent local projects involved a client and friend, Søren, who brought in his exceptionally handsome Breitling B1 Navitimer 41 featuring a striking bronze sunburst dial. The B1 Navitimer, known for its hybrid digital/analog display and aviation-focused functionality, is already a powerhouse on the wrist—but Søren wanted a strap that would elevate the aesthetics without sacrificing the rugged reliability the watch is known for. What we delivered was nothing short of spectacular: a fully bespoke exotic strap made from Baltic Blue SuperMatte Teju Lizard, designed to harmonize beautifully with the bronze tones of the dial while delivering unmatched comfort and durability.
Baltic Blue SuperMatte Teju Lizard – Understated Luxury with an Edge
For this project, Søren selected one of our most luxurious and richly textured exotics: SuperMatte Teju Lizard in Baltic Blue. This lizard hide has been matte-finished to perfection, offering a sleek yet organic look that complements both casual and dress wear. The bold blue tones strike an elegant contrast with the bronze dial of the Navitimer, creating a visual interplay that feels both intentional and strikingly original.
The strap is heavily padded at the lugs, offering a substantial and sporty feel that suits the proportions of the B1 Navitimer perfectly. The padding tapers smoothly for balance and all-day wearability, ensuring this strap is as functional as it is beautiful.
Our Signature Thick Curved Lug System (TCLS) – Seamless Integration
This custom strap features our proprietary Thick Curved Lug System (TCLS), a highly requested upgrade among Dangerous9straps clients. This system is designed to closely follow the curvature of the watch case, effectively closing the unsightly gap between strap and lugs that’s common in off-the-shelf straps. The result is an integrated, factory-style fit that not only enhances the look but also improves wrist stability.
The TCLS design also helps emphasize the bold geometry of the B1’s case, enhancing the overall presence of the watch and giving it a bespoke finish from every angle.
SuperExotica Lining – Inside-Out Luxury
Taking this strap to the next level, Søren opted for our SuperExotica upgrade, which introduces exotic materials and finishes to the strap lining. For this build, we used Teju Lizard lining, custom finished in a luminous bronze Pearlescent tone that subtly echoes the watch dial. This exotic interior is not only beautiful—it’s also soft to the touch and extremely durable over time.
To complete the look, we used superfine hand saddle stitching with our stunning Red Gold Metallic thread, carefully matched to complement both the bronze lining and dial. This attention to detail ensures the strap feels entirely cohesive from every angle.
Fitted with Our Inner-Fold Deployant Clasp – Comfort and Security Combined
To enhance comfort and functionality, this strap was fitted with our polished stainless steel inner-fold deployant clasp, one of the best in the business for daily wear. Unlike traditional deployant clasps that can place bulky metal against the wrist, our inner-fold design minimizes contact, offering a smooth, comfortable wearing experience even over long hours.
This clasp also features a double-button activation mechanism, adding an extra layer of security without compromising on ease of use. Perhaps best of all, because the long side of the strap folds inward toward the wrist, no keeper loops are required—resulting in a streamlined, clutter-free profile. It’s an elegant solution that keeps the focus on the strap and the watch, not the hardware.
