This project is a special one for us at Dangerous9straps—not only because it showcases one of our rarest leathers, but also because it was made for my wife, Andrea, who has always loved the rich, lived-in look of the Vintage Dakar.

Unlike standard treatments that leave lizard glossy or stiff, the pull-up process infuses the hide with oils that give it depth, suppleness, and a character that evolves beautifully over time.

As with all our bespoke straps, we took care to ensure both comfort and longevity. This strap features padding at the lugs and our exclusive Thick Curved Lug System (TCLS), which creates a seamless, integrated fit between the lugs of the Speedmaster. The hand saddle stitching—done with French-milled white linen thread—adds a crisp contrast against the earthy tones of the Vintage Dakar leather.
For the lining, we used our Motorcycle Black Kangaroo gloving leather, which is both butter-soft and incredibly durable. This ensures the strap feels smooth against the skin while standing up to daily wear for years to come.
Finally, we finished the piece with an Omega-style inner fold deployant clasp, offering Andrea the comfort of a secure closure and a sleek, streamlined look on the wrist.
