Swiss Ammo strap for Blancpain Fifty Fathoms – happy to share these great photos from my customer of his Blancpain Fifty Fathoms 5015 paired with his newly arrived 1966 Swiss Ammo strap. This strap features padding at the lugs and our exclusive ‘Thick Curved Lug System’ (TCLS) which provides an integrated fit between the lugs, which I think looks especially amazing with the Fifty Fathoms watch!

This strap was stitched with our Olive Drab waxed Irish-milled linen thread and completed with our 22mm ‘D9’ logo, screw-in, Thumbnail buckle to match the beautiful and elegant polished case of the Fifty Fathoms.

Our Swiss Ammo straps are made from leather salvaged from genuine, vintage, Swiss Army Ammunition pouches. The manufacture of these pouches were ordered by the Swiss military from about the 1890s through the 1960s and were contracted from Swiss saddlers throughout Switzerland. The stamping shown on these straps are the original maker and date stamping of the Swiss saddlers that made the pouches and a small stamping with a Swiss cross, which is the Swiss government inspection stamp.
