Chocolate Sharkskin Bund strap for PAM507 – These are some great photos from my customer (Instagram @plunderball) of his amazing Panerai PAM0507 Bronzo Submersible paired with his newly arrived Bund strap made from our Dark Chocolate Sharkskin. My customer wanted the strap as water-tolerant as possible, so while I don’t guarantee any of our straps to be waterproof, I build his strap with some very special features in order to offer the most water resistance possible: 1) The strap has been upgraded with our highly water-tolerant sharkskin lining and 2) Instead of using our customary vegetable-tanned leather as mid-layer and padding, I have built this strap using waterproof Cork leather as a mid-lay and padding.

The Bund strap is of a special asymmetrical design so that the wrist is protected itself from the large Panerai crown protector.

I remember thinking while building this strap, that given the Cork leather inside that this strap might actually float. Of course, the fact that it’s attached to the big, bronze beast of a watch, floating will be out of the question. I love making these massive Bund straps for these beastly watches, they just seem to go together so well. This strap features padding at the lugs and our exclusive ‘Thick Curved Lug System’ (TCLS), which provides the strap with an integrated fit between the lugs (If I do say so myself, the fit between the lugs is superb). Looking at it here, this is the strap that this watch should have been issued with from Panerai. Don’t you think?
