For 40mm Rolex Submariner: Two New Integrated Fit Straps – The 40mm Rolex Submariner is one of the most recognizable watches ever made. Its timeless proportions, legendary dive-watch heritage, and unmistakable design make it a natural canvas for a beautifully crafted custom watch strap.
We’ve just added two particularly special new options to the Dangerous9straps collection: Incas Mahogany Kangaroo leather and our exclusive Grigio-Verde Ostrich Leg. Although these two leathers have very different personalities, both have been carefully engineered to provide an exceptional fit on 40mm Rolex Submariner models.

Incas Mahogany Kangaroo Leather
Our first new strap is made from our beautifully hand-rubbed Incas Mahogany Kangaroo leather.
The rich mahogany color combines warm reddish-brown tones with subtle variations in the surface of the leather, giving the strap a wonderfully organic and slightly vintage character. It creates a fascinating contrast with the modern black ceramic bezel and case of the Submariner, while remaining sufficiently understated to complement the watch rather than overwhelm it.
Kangaroo leather is also exceptionally strong for its weight, making it an excellent material for a high-quality watch strap.
And, importantly, this is a leather that will continue to evolve. With time and regular wear, the Incas Mahogany leather will gradually fade and develop a beautiful natural patina, making your strap increasingly individual to you.

Exclusive Grigio-Verde Ostrich Leg
Our second new offering takes a decidedly more exotic direction.
This is our Grigio-Verde Ostrich Leg, an exclusive skin that was bespoke tanned for Dangerous9straps by our Italy-based tannery partners.
We commissioned this particular color after the tremendous popularity of our Grigio-Verde Alligator. Our goal was to recreate the sophisticated green-gray color mood of the Alligator in a completely different exotic leather.
We think the results are exceptional.
As you can see in our photographs, placing the Grigio-Verde Ostrich Leg alongside the original Grigio-Verde Alligator shows just how successfully our Italian tannery partners have captured the color character that inspired this new leather. At the same time, the distinctive texture of Ostrich Leg gives it an identity all its own.

Our Proprietary Integrated Lug Inserts
While the two leathers couldn’t be more different, both straps share an important piece of Dangerous9straps engineering.
Each strap incorporates our proprietary lug inserts, designed to provide an integrated fit between the strap and the Rolex Submariner’s lugs.
These inserts are manufactured from an extremely tough 3D-printed composite material. Crucially, the composite is softer than the stainless steel of the watch case. This allows us to achieve the strength and precision necessary for a secure, integrated fit while minimizing the risk of scratching your valuable timepiece.
It’s a relatively discreet feature, but it’s precisely the kind of detail that makes a difference when creating a truly bespoke Rolex Submariner strap.
A Perfect Match: Our ‘D9’ Inner-Fold Deployant Clasp
Both of these new 40mm Rolex Submariner straps are designed to work perfectly with our 18mm ‘D9’ Logo Inner-Fold Deployant Clasp. The new clasp features a brushed stainless-steel finish with polished accents, giving it a sophisticated combination of subtlety and contrast that works beautifully with the Rolex Submariner.
Modeled after the popular Omega-style deployant, our Inner-Fold design allows the long end of the strap to fold neatly to the inside, against the wrist. This eliminates the need for keeper loops and creates a particularly clean, streamlined appearance while also making the strap exceptionally comfortable to wear.
Security is another important advantage. The clasp incorporates a dual-button release, meaning that both release buttons must be compressed simultaneously to open it. Closing the clasp produces a reassuring positive click, confirming that it is securely engaged.
And while our discreet etched ‘D9’ logo provides a subtle signature of the handmade Dangerous9straps craftsmanship, we understand that some customers prefer their watch accessories completely free of branding. For that reason, the 18mm Inner-Fold Deployant Clasp is also available without the ‘D9’ logo.
Both versions feature the same brushed finish with polished accents, allowing you to choose between our discreet signature version or a completely unbranded clasp according to your personal preference.
Handmade Details Inside and Out
Both straps are lined with our exceptionally durable yet buttery-soft black “Clone” patterned Kangaroo gloving leather. They are then individually hand saddle stitched using cream-white French-milled linen thread.
The combination of carefully selected exotic and premium leathers, traditional hand craftsmanship, and modern composite construction gives these straps a distinctive Dangerous9straps character.
Both are designed to fit most wrists measuring approximately 16.3cm to 19.3cm (6.4 to 7.6 inches).
Two leathers. Two very different personalities. One iconic 40mm Rolex Submariner.
Incas Mahogany Kangaroo for a warm, rugged and naturally evolving look—or Grigio-Verde Ostrich Leg for something sophisticated, exotic and distinctly unusual.
