Custom strap for Habring Chronograph Doppel 3 – looking through my archives, I realized that I had never posted about the bespoke strap that I made for Gary’s extraordinary Habring Chronograph Doppel 3. Well, it’s long past due to amend that oversight. When Gary had initially contacted me about building a custom strap for his Habring Chronograph, I had actually not been aware of this brand, in typical Austrian fashion they make extraordinary watches with unique and exclusive features but are very much an under the radar, boutique brand that focuses its energy and attention on developing superior timepiece and eschewing hype and expensive marketing campaigns and in the process winning the respect among watch enthusiasts and an extremely loyal custom base.
The strap that Gary chose was made from our SuperMatte Carbon Black Teju Lizard and features padding at the lugs and our exclusive ‘Thick Curved Lug System’ (TCLS) to provide an integrated fit between the lugs. Superfine hand saddle stitching with True Blue French Linen and lined with our ‘Clone’ patterned black Kangaroo leather for extreme comfort and durability.
Having worked with Gary to develop a strap design, he instructed Habring to send me the watch directly so that I can fit his strap and in doing so, I was able to take the photos that you see here. I think the pairing of the watch and strap is just about perfect.
