Edge Paint – An Overlooked Option:
Edge Paint – An Overlooked Option – for Sports watches, which often feature bolder, contrasting, and accent colors in the dial, bezel, pushers, and other design elements. When designing a custom strap, I often like to add design elements in these colors. This can be Double Row Stitching, Contrasting lining colors, Accent stitching, and Rally Holes, etc. However, an often-overlooked element that can be added to your custom strap is a contrasting edge paint that will highlight the color of a design element of your watch. Of course, for most straps, matching edge paint is really your best option in order to design a strap with the best unification of design with the watch, but sometimes, one would like to add just that extra bit of sportiness by adding an extra bit contrasting color. Here are some of my favorites that I think have turned out really great. Since I have massive experience with custom-blending paints for many of the unusual colors of leather that I offer, I am usually able to come up with just the right color to match your watch:
