Swiss Ammo strap with Skulls for U-Boat Flightdeck
Swiss Ammo strap with Skulls for U-Boat Flightdeck – These great photos from my good customer Andreas of his U-boat Flightdeck F1 Singapore special edition in Titanium look great. Something about adding cool Rivets at the lugs that my customers love on these U-Boat straps. I offer a number of Rivet options in Skulls, Skulls with Crossbones, as well as others such as Fleur de Lis, and even Rivets that I make myself from Bullet casings. If you have an Idea for a strap with Rivet accents hit me up, I’m happy to explore some options with you.
Andreas’s strap was made from leather Salvaged from a 1967 Swiss Ammunition pouch to a width of 24mm, only tapering just at the strap attachment point to fit the 23mm lug width of the U-Boat Flightdeck. I have done this on a number of occasions with these watches, as they are quite massive and benefit from a wider strap and a more massive buckle. This strap features our 24mm, vintage style, flat, sewn-in buckle which is massive at about 3mm thick and I think will offer a great counterbalance to this massive 50mm Flightdeck, while although rendered in Titanium, is still a substantial timepiece.
