Navy Cordovan Watch Strap Fagliano Style:

Navy Cordovan Watch Strap Fagliano Style – Casa Fagliano is a world-famous maker of shoes and boots especially known for their equestrian boots for Polo players.  Based out of Argentina, which is a country that has taken up the sport of Polo, with greater enthusiasm and success than perhaps any country today.  Jaeger le Coultre watch company has partnered with Fagliano to make watch straps for certain of their Reverso models. the Reverso, having its origin as a watch to wear while playing Polo, the tie-in is evident.  The result is the strap design that you see below.

The style strap is a fairly unique design, which includes separate leather tabs which fold over the top of the strap creating a place for the spring bar, a unique stitching pattern sometimes in contrasting stitching (but not always as with the below strap with matching Navy stitching) and double stitched keeper loops, the whole design is one that is reminiscent of equestrian/saddles and bridals.  This is the first opportunity for me to build a strap in this style, which was a lot of fun and I think the results speak for themselves:

My Custom had come to me to make his strap because he not only wanted a very special material, but he also had a requirement for a very long strap for his extra large wrist, which the original strap was JLC unable to accommodate, rendering his watch unwearable.  The obvious solution was a custom watch strap by Dangerous9straps from this beautiful navy Shell Cordovan made in the JLC/Fagliano style to my customer’s length specification.

Additionally, this strap was lined with our Commando Grey Alcantara luxury sueded fabric lining, which is both extremely soft and extremely durable:

Also featured are quick-release spring bars, which are a great option allowing for tool-free strap changes if you’ll be switching out your strap on a regular basis (I’m building 3 additional straps for our customer’s Reverso).

Made from this wonderful Italian-tanned Shell, this blue is deep, intense, and with the perfect Navy blue color and with none of the red/purple color tones, which to my eye is an all too common failing of many navy blue colors.  And of course, the JLC Reverso and Fagliano haveing such strong ties to the sporting equestrian world, shell Cordovan is the perfect material from which to make this strap:
