L to R: Navy Blue Sharkskin, Matte finished, unpolished Stingray, and ‘Rolex’ Green, and Olive Green Kidskin

Newly arrived Sharkskin, Stingray, and Kidskins:

Newly arrived Sharkskin, Stingray, and Kidskins – last week we took a couple of days to go dash down to Milan to attend the Lineapelle leather trade show (for the first time in over 3 years) in order to visit some of our suppliers and tanneries and to meet new suppliers and shop of products in person.  This was a great success in finding some great new material, which we will be introducing over the coming months, however, while there, we were able to re-stock some materials such as really great Navy blue Two-tone sharkskin, some great new colors for our Kidskin lining collection and a very limited quantity of unpolished Stingray in a very rare and unique matte black!

Navy Blue Two-tone Sharkskin:

Navy Blue Sharkskin

I’ve been looking for a really great Two-tone finished Navy Blue Sharkskin for a long time now and have finally hit paydirt with these.  In what I consider the ideal Navy color (not too light or dark and very blue with no red or purple tones, which I feel ruin many Navy blue color tones).  This color will be great both the outside and well as making a really durable lining leather as well and I’m really looking forward to using this great leather for both.

Unpolished Stingray with Matte finish:

Matte-finished and totally unpolished, this Stingray is outstanding and a very rare finish!

This new, rare, and very limited matte finish is very cool. One of the great things about visiting our supplier’s warehouses in person is our ability to rummage around to find really unique and eye-catching materials that we would never even know existed before.  The moment I saw these two pieces at our supplier’s warehouse in Milan, I knew that we had to add them to our offerings.  It’s a very rare matte finished and totally unpolished Stingray, the likes of which I have never seen before.  I think that these are going to make really killer custom watch straps.  Please bear in mind, however, that I will only be able to make 2 straps from the central pearls section and perhaps 4 or 5 straps from the section without the central pearls section for a total of maybe 7 straps.  My advice is that if you would like a strap made from these, contact me right away!

New Colors of Kidskin will make for great linings:

When visiting our supplier warehouse, I had only intended to restock a few of our most popular colors of kidskin lining leathers, but seeing these two great green options (the Army Green is a re-stock of one of our most popular colors), I couldn’t resist adding them to our Collection.  I’ve really been looking for a ‘Rolex’ green lining leather for a while without luck, but I really think that this one is fit the bill – it’s a smooth waxy finish and will be very comfortable on the wrist.  Out of respect for the prowess of Rolex’s legal team, however, I have (I think sensibly) decided to name this color ‘Forest Green’ and definitely NOT ‘Rolex Green’:-)  The Newly arrived ‘Olive Green’ is a really great Olive Grey color, which I just love:
