Swiss Ammo strap for Omega Speedmaster:

Hi strap lovers.  I had not planned to make a Ammo strap my next blog post, but when I received these lovely photos of his Omega Speedmaster Professional pair with his new arrived Dangerous9 Swiss Ammo strap from my great customer Ralph, I couldn’t resist sharing them right away.  I think this may be the first time I’ve made a Swiss Ammo strap for a Speedmaster and certainly this first time I’ve featured a Speedmaster paired with a Swiss Ammo strap on the blog.  Frankly, Swiss Ammo straps have not been a frequently ordered strap for the Speedmaster, which after seeing these photos make no sense, because I think this combo is quite compelling, stunning even.

Perhaps many people think of Swiss Ammo straps as having to be super bulky and only suitable for larger watches such as Panerai and Bell & Ross, but I’ve been making Swiss Ammo strap scaled in thickness and stitching to be paired with watches of a much more modest dimension for a while now so as not to overwhelm the watch. And while I still wouldn’t necessarily recommend a Swiss Ammo strap be paired with a dress watch, combining it with a 40mm sport chronograph like the Speedmaster is very doable.

The Vintage look of the Speedy is a great combo with the vintage leather of  this 1965 Swiss Ammo strap and their history pairs well together.  Of course These great photos show this combo in it’s best light, which is why Ralph’s Speedmaster will be our ‘Watch of the Week.
