Panerai Ferrari Watch on Custom Lizard strap – Hello strap lovers! I am happy to share these fantastic custom photos of Matt’s Panerai Ferrari Fer00010 paired with his newly arrived Dangerous9strap. Bespoke made, Matt had chosen a great combo for his strap – made from our SuperMatte Carbon Black Teju Lizard, this strap’s standout features are the eye-catching double row hand saddle stitching in white and yellow and the bright yellow sharkskin lining, which I must say sets off this beautiful timepiece perfectly. I think this may be the first strap that I have had the pleasure to make for a Ferrari series Panerai, which I have always really liked and have always had a soft spot for. I know that among Paneristi these watches have in the past not received the appreciation that they deserve, but I think now, among collector’s this is beginning to change. I really can’t think of a watch/auto brand collaboration that seems to fit so well together as these two venerable Italian heritage brands. Together with the fact that the sporting designs – especially the chronograph models the Red or in this instance Yellow accents, I think are just terrific. The Double Row contrast stitching adds a lot of sportiness to the strap which just enhances the sporty nature of this Ferrari branded Panera watch. A big thanks to Matt for these great photos, his Panerai FER00010 is most certainly our ‘Watch of the Week’!
I think that one of the issues which have limited the appeal of these watches among collectors (one shared by a lot of these Auto brand/watch branded editions) is that some guys feel that they would only sport them if they also own a car from the brand. And, while I understand this point, I think that one should be able to authentically wear these lovely watches based solely on one’s admiration of the watch design and the Admiration for the car brand. And that without hesitation, one should certainly be proud to own and wear this watch even if one is not fortunate enough to own the car to go with it.
