Navy Shell Cordovan Strap for Erwin Sattler – H strap lovers, I am happy to share a few photos that my good customer Peter sent along of his Navy Shell Cordovan strap paired with his Classically elegant Erwin Sattler Regulateur Classic Secunde Erwin Sattler is a luxury clock and watch manufacturer based here in Graefelfing Germany and I have been admiring their wrist watches for many years now, but I have only had the pleasure of building straps for their watches a couple of times (they produce in very low numbers).
This strap was made in the style of famous Polo boot maker from Argentina – Casa Fagliano. This style was developed by them for straps that they have partnered to make for Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso. The style strap is a fairly unique design, which includes separate leather tabs that fold over the top of the strap creating a place for the spring bar, a unique stitching pattern sometimes in contrasting stitching (but not always as with the below strap with matching Navy stitching) and double stitched keeper loops, the whole design is one that is reminiscent of equestrian/saddles and bridals. This is the first opportunity for me to build a strap in this style, which was a lot of fun and I think the results speak for themselves:
